Transcription Fees/Payment Information

The following is information about what I charge for transcription and how payments can be made. If you have any questions, please contact me at sgshoop@gmail.com.

• The rate for audio transcription is $15 per hour of my time.
• Typically, each hour of audio takes around four hours to transcribe, depending on the quality of the audio and the speech patterns of the moderators and respondents. So, a one hour audio file would take around four to five hours to complete and would cost between $60 and $75. 
• After transcribing the audio, I go back through and do a review of the entire transcript to catch mistakes and listen again for inaudibles. I do not charge for this time. 
• I am able to accept both personal and university funds. Please contact your Business Office for more information on using university funds. 
• I accept cash, check, or Paypal as payments. I currently do not have a method of accepting credit card payments except through Paypal.
• Please let me know at the beginning of the project how you want to deal with invoices and payments.
